I'm sure most of you already know that you can make a boxed cake mix a little better by adding a cap full of vanilla to the batter. There is another trick that can really help make a boxed cake mix taste even more like homemade. Simply buy a brand that requires you add oil. Instead of using vegetable oil, or some other less tasty cooking oil, use coconut oil. It does not make the cake taste like coconut at all, but it does make it super moist and rich.
