Chili Bread

Ingredients: 
  • 2 c. Bisquick baking mix
  • 1 can chopped green chilies, drained
  • 1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 jar dised pimento
  • 1/2 c. V-8 vegetable juice
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 onion, chopped

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a square 8x8 inch baking pan. Mix all ingredients until dough forms. Spread in pan. Bake about 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Serve warm.

Flax Bran Muffins

Ingredients: 

1/2 cup unprocessed wheat bran
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup prune juice
1/4 cup molasses
2 tablespoons light olive oil or hazelnut oil
1 large egg
1/2 cup golden flaxseed
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

1. Place wheat bran in large bowl and add boiling water. Stir to combine and set aside.

Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients: 
  • 4 and 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 c. coconut oil
  • 4 and 1/2 c. flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 lg. can pumpkin
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp. allspice

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream sugar, oil and eggs. Stir in pumpkin. Stir in dry ingredients.
