German Brat Skillet Supper

Ingredients: 
  • 6 bratwurst sausages
  • 1 c. apple juice
  • 2 c. sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced thin
  • 2 tsp. caraway seed

Brown sausage in skillet. Reduce heat, add appler juice. Cook until fork tender then add remaining ingredients and heat just to a simmer. Serve.

Spicy Asian Shrimp and Broccoli Pasta

Ingredients: 
  • 8 oz. vermicelli noodles, broken
  • 2 tsp. sesame seed oil
  • 1 lb shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 3 garlic cloves, fine chopped
  • 2 c. fresh broccoli florets
  • 1/2 c. fresh match stick carrots
  • 1 chile pepper, seeded and chopped fine
  • 1 green onion
  • 3/4 c. chicken broth
  • 1 T. soy sauce
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tsp. finely chopped fresh parsley

Cook noodles as directed on package. Drain and cover to keep warm. Put sesame seed oil in wok or large skillet. Heat over high heat until hot. Add shrimp. Cook while stirring for about 4 minutes.

Easy Veggie Casserole

Ingredients: 
  • 1 20 oz. pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • Velveeta cheese slices
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • croutons

Cook vegetables and drain. Add butter to casserole dish and melt as the oven preheats to 350 degrees. Add vegetables and soup; mix well. Layer cheese slices over the mixture. Top with croutons.

Mama's Taco Casserole

Ingredients: 
  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 can ranch style beans
  • 1 package corn bread mix
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • cheddar cheese, shredded

Brown ground beef and drain. Add taco seasoning & mix according to package directions. Add beans and tomatoes. Pour this mixture into a baking dish. Cover with cheddar cheese.

Skillet Steak and Potatoes

Ingredients: 
  • round steak, cut into Strips and Seasoned
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 large potato sliced

Preheat skillet until hot, brown steak and onions; steak should be almost done. Remove steak and onions from skillet. Add potatoes then cover with steak and onions.
